Employment Opportunities

The American International School of Lusaka seeks faculty who are qualified, experienced, collaborative, flexible and imaginative.  Locally hired and overseas hired teachers are employed. International experience is an advantage, as is experience in teaching any of the three International Baccalaureate (IB, PYP, MYP or DP) programs. A sense of humor is preferred.

Local contracts are issued on an annual basis, and overseas contracts for an initial two year period with subsequent annual renewals. Salaries range from US$30,000 to US$50,000 depending on qualifications and experience, with the average salary in the region of US$38,000. Benefits for overseas hire teachers include annual home leave flights at the end of contracts, housing and utilities, free tuition for up to 2 dependent children per family and medical insurance.
