SECONDARY => College Counselling => Selectivity Index

Selctivity Index

Once you have engaged in a broad search for suitable colleges and universities that meet your individual needs, you will need to create a short-list of institutions to which you intend to apply. The counselor will provide you with a Selectivity Index form to complete that will help you to create this short-list.

By using the entrance requirements stipulated on the individual college websites, you can assess how closely you meet admissions criteria for specific institutions.

You can then make a short-list of colleges to which you intend to apply based upon the likelihood that you will be offered admission.

It is strongly recommended that you apply to six or seven colleges, and that the short-list comprises of reach, target and safety institutions.
