Overview
As part of your search, you will need to find out the academic and entrance test requirements of particular institutions. Information about academic and entrance test requirements appear on college websites and in other publications such as, The College Handbook (College Board), which is available from the school library, and college catalogues, many of which are available from the counselor.
Academic and entrance test requirements differ from college to college and you should, therefore, check requirements with individual institutions.
In general, you will require the following:
- Grade Point Averages GPA (US, Canada)
- IB Predictions (Worldwide)
- IB / Graduation Results (Worldwide)
- Class Rank (US and Canada)
- PSAT/NSMQT (US and Canada)
- SAT I Reasoning (US and Canada)
- SAT II Subject Tests (US and Canada)
- TOEFL/IELTS (Worldwide if English second language)
- LNAT (UK, Law)
- BMAT (UK, medicine)
- TAS (UK, Oxford and Cambridge
- STEP (UK, Oxford and Cambridge
- MML (UK, Oxford and Cambridge)
GPA, IB grades and entrance test scores are submitted to colleges and universities in different ways. You need to actively send some of them. Check the information on Sending Scores.
