The Global Issues Service Summit Africa 2010, hosted by the American International School of Lusaka in Zambia, is a unique conference that will provide an enriching and interactive experience for students and service leaders to discuss the problems and strategies associated with sustainable solutions to local and global needs.

  • What are the conditions necessary to promote sustainable development in Africa?
  • How can we alleviate poverty and simultaneously protect our environment?
  • What has worked and why?
  • What are the challenges and how can we meet them?

  • Students will present workshops on their sustainable service projects and strategies for solving some of the major global issues of the 21st Century. Likewise, NGOs, governmental agencies, other service providers and experts will work with our young people within a symposium format of exploration, as students seek to further understand how to formulate solutions for the global issues that impact Africa. The conference will also serve as a joyous celebration of service and the hard work of committing to making a difference within our world.
