Primary Grades

The American International School of Lusaka is committed to a quality education in an international context with opportunities for all students, to develop intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally. We believe that children learn best when provided with a comfortable, safe and stable environment. The atmosphere is one of trust and respect within a learning community.

The Primary School at AIS encompasses Preschool (2-3y/o) – Grade 5 (11 y/o). There is one Play School class (2 yr olds) and two classes at all other grade levels. Class teachers work collaboratively with specialist teachers in the areas of Performing Arts, Physical Education, Information Technology, Art and French to provide a transdisciplinary curriculum.
