Bead system for sporting
achievements at AIS
Bead
colours in order of rank:
White
Awarded to anyone who is selected
to represent the school on a team during a particular
season. This will include swimmers who are selected
to represent the school at ZASU ‘A’
or B’ league galas or ISAZ inter-school
galas.
Yellow
Awarded to anyone who achieves
a minimum of two PB times in a single ZASU league
or ISAZ Inter-School meet. Anyone achieving
four PB’s in single meet gets two yellow
beads, six PB’s gets three beads and so
on.
Black
Awarded to anyone who is part
of a team that wins the ZASU league in a particular
season. So, in this case, every member of the
winning team gets a black bead.
Silver
Awarded to anyone who:
· Is selected to represent either the
school or the country in an international event
where that person is competing against swimmers
from other countries.
· For achieving an official AIS age-group
record in any league or ISAZ meet or for winning
a silver or bronze medal at the National Age
Groups Gala.
Gold
For exceptional performances
only!!!
· For setting or breaking an existing
national record.
· For winning a gold medal at any national
championships (For example, the National Age
Groups Gala )
· For winning a floating trophy for sporting
excellence at an Awards Ceremony.
· For displaying exceptional sportsmanship
that goes way beyond the normal call of duty
to other players or team members.
