PYP Exhibition: On Tuesday, 20 April, our Grade 5 students will be sharing their PYPX projects with the wider AISL community. On that date, we will be launching the link to the projects so that everyone can view and provide comments on their work. These projects, linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, are a culmination of nine weeks of research, data collection, revision, and presentation planning. We look forward to seeing their final projects next week.
MAP Growth assessments: Beginning 20 April, our upper primary students will take their ‘Spring’ MAP Growth assessments. G3 and G4 will complete them the week of 20 April and G5 will complete them the week after PYPX is finished. These assessments provide teachers with valuable data that they can use to differentiate instruction for your child. We ask that students get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and snack, and arrive at school on time in order to set them up well for the assessments. Should your child be absent from school during one or more of the three assessments, we will try and schedule a make-up time, but it may not be possible to complete all three assessments. WorldFest: On Thursday, 29 April, our school will be celebrating our annual WorldFest. Though this event will be on a much smaller scale than in past years, we are still looking forward to marking this annual tradition. We encourage all students to come dressed in their national colors and/or cultural dress on that day in celebration of the event. As part of the day, there will be a student-led Parade of Nations, a virtual school assembly and a small food festival for students to have some tastings during their snack time. We ask that KG-G5 pack/order a lunch as usual on that day. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact the Primary Office ([email protected]). Comments are closed.
