![]() Greetings, AISL Families! Given the extended campus closure, the AISL Library is launching the following system to help support access to books for our families remaining in Lusaka. We may need to adjust or temporarily suspend this plan if Zambia goes into a full lock-down, but for now Miss Jill & Ms. Maguire are still able to access the library and are happy to keep supplying you with great reads! We have a large book collection bin in the guard post at the Secondary School entrance gate. You can return any books to this location. Our staff collects the bin when it is full and leaves it set aside “in quarantine” for 72 hours, which is 24 hours more than the 48 hours recommended. On Wednesday of each week, please fill out this Google form with your family’s book requests (up to 5 books per patron). We will make every effort to find books you will enjoy! On Fridays of each week, we will have a table set up just outside the secondary gate with individual book stacks for each family. Books will be ready for collection by 10:00 a.m. They will remain outside until 18:00. Our shelves are looking pretty bare, so if you have any library books at home that you have read or do not envision reading, we'd be grateful if you could return them so we can circulate them. We hope that many of our Lusaka-based families will take advantage of this circulation plan! And for secondary families who are spread out across the globe, please check out the #BookLove Libguide, which is updated regularly with recommendations for free ebooks, audio books, podcasts, on-line book clubs, and more! (password is the same as for parent portal- ask us for it if you need it!). Stay safe, stay well, and keep reading! Comments are closed.
