College News - Torie

Torie has recently been accepted to two tertiary institutions to study for a pre-medical degree. Both of these schools have offered Torie significant merit-based scholarships in recognition of her high school studies through the International Baccalaureate MYP and DP, and her college-readiness test scores. She is also likely to qualify for advanced credits for her performance in her IBDP Higher Level subjects. Well done Torie!


Florida Southern College, FL
Torie’s admission letter states that, “The admission committee was very impressed with your application and chose you from a pool of immensely talented applicants. FSC believes that you are the type of student who will appreciate the numerous opportunities to participate in a dynamic, engaged learning environment.”


The U.S. News & World Report, ranks Florida Southern among the Top 10 Regional Universities in the South (2020). Founded in Orlando in 1883, FSC is the oldest private college in Florida. Now located in the college town of Lakeland, Florida, the location appeals to students for offering a range of social activities and for its creative energy, stable economy, strong job market, and high quality of life.

University of Tampa, FL
Torie has also been accepted to attend the University of Tampa. This school is a medium-sized comprehensive, private university offering undergraduate and graduate degrees.
