Fridays for the Future

Inspired by Greta Thunberg and the Fridays For Future movement, the AISL Secondary Students and Faculty are organized activities in support of the Global Climate Strike on Friday 20 September. A number of Secondary teachers ran climate education activities in their classrooms throughout the day. This was  followed by a coordinated litter clean-up on the road leading to Ananda across from the Primary School gate. The "Little Pick" acted as a dry run for future student-led action. AISL and Naledi students worked together after school on Friday. Check out the number of bags these students filled in two hours! (Volunteers not shown: Ian Heathcoate and Nishal).

Meanwhile, G12 student leaders Katie & Espy were delivering their "Request for Public Assembly" to the Woodlands police station for the "Big Pick & Procession" planned for Friday 27 September at 13:30pm. "We support activities for a clean environment," said the Officer in Charge.
