What I am excited about this week...
Health and Safety! We have 94% of our students back on campus for Learning Path 1 this week, which is very exciting. We appreciate the high level of confidence that our families have in our health and safety measures as well as the assistance from parents in emphasizing their importance to our students. I am also very grateful for the families who have called Nurse Jennifer if they had doubts or concerns about any exposure they might have had. This level of transparency is a testament to our community’s commitment to keeping each other safe.
COVID-19 Webpage Updates! Please check out our COVID-19 information page. There is a wealth of information there including videos, slide decks, and written presentations of our health and safety protocols, information about proper mask wearing, helpful articles, and the latest COVID-19 figures from the ZNPHI. These figures have been integrated into easy-to-read graphs by one of our parents, Anne Jennings, to support Lusaka Helps.
Resuming After School Activities (ASA’s)! We are thrilled to be resuming our after school activities from Tuesday, 2 March. Please check your email for a message from our Activities Department that provides information about how to sign your child(ren) up for ASA’s and the health and safety protocols we will be following.
Personal Project Expo! Congratulations to the Grade 10 students for their hard work on this year’s personal projects. The Personal Project is a year-long, self-directed project that serves as the culmination of the IB Middle Years Programme. These projects will be showcased at this year’s online Personal Project Expo on Wednesday, 3 March from 17:00-18:00. See the article later in this newsletter to learn more about how to join this event.
The Leopard's Tale is our main medium to keep our families informed on such things as the day to day happenings on campus, after school activities, summaries of any arts and sports events, helpful resources, and important dates and reminders.
