What I am Excited About This Week... Last Day of School is 20 December – Noon Dismissal! School will close at noon on 20 December after our annual End-of-Semester Celebration Assembly. Classes will resume on Wednesday, 22 January. The main office will be closed between Christmas and New Year’s. Since many administrative staff members take their annual leave during the school holiday, please understand that staffing across the school will be very limited. I hope that you are able to get away for some rest and relaxation with loved ones during the break and that your 2020 gets off to a great start! Holiday Hampers – Thank you! Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this year’s Holiday Hamper project. With your support, our students and staff came together to create 116 hampers. It was fun to see so much excitement on campus yesterday when they were shared with our guards, cleaners, and support staff. New Family Orientation Sessions – 21 January! We will be hosting new family orientation sessions on Tuesday, 21 January at 08:30 for Primary School and 10:30 for Secondary School in the Protea Tree Conference Room. If you missed the sessions in August or joined us at any time throughout first semester, you are welcome to attend. Welcome Back Parent Coffee Morning – 22 January! On Wednesday, 22 January there will be coffee, tea, and treats for parents at the Palm Pavilion from 07:30-08:30. Please come join us to welcome new parents, make new friends, rekindle old friendships, and share stories of your holiday adventures. I would love to see you there! ISSEA Band and Choir Hosting! From 20-22 February, AISL will be hosting the ISSEA Band and Choir Festival. This is a great honor for us and a wonderful opportunity to show off our impressive music program. This is the largest ISSEA event in terms of participants and will stretch our hosting abilities to their limits. To support this great event, please consider hosting two or more visiting students at your home. We will need all the help we can get. Please contact the Activities Department ([email protected]) to volunteer or to ask questions. Thank you for considering hosting some of our ISSEA guests. Comments are closed.
