![]() Exciting Creativity and Sportsmanship at AISL Last Friday, our MYP students brought an electric atmosphere to our gym during the First Community Pod event's grand finale. They showcased their creative prowess by designing mascots, slogans, and much more. Following this, the gym and Pavilion courts came alive with an action-packed afternoon of volleyball, thoroughly supported by both students and parents. It was heartwarming to witness such a vibrant atmosphere on our campus. Launching of Tech Tools for Primary: This Tuesday marked the rollout of a range of new tech tools for our primary students. Teachers experimented with a range of robots to teach computational thinking and coding including Beebots, Spheros, and Dash Robots. We have Osmos for interactive learning with technology, Makey Makeys for electronic inventions, a podcasting studio, 3D printer, and maker-space materials for creation with electricity, magnetism, sound, and light. Our students will also have immersive learning experiences aided by virtual and augmented reality technologies. These tools are sure to enhance their learning experiences, and we can't wait to see the positive impact they bring to our classrooms. Another call to join the Big Questions Institute - Shaping the Future of Education: Are you passionate about shaping the future of education? We have an exciting opportunity for you!. The U.S. Department of State, Office of Overseas Schools, to which AISL is sponsored and affiliated, has introduced the 'BQI Futures' platform. This platform will provide weekly insights into the latest developments and trends in education. Throughout the year, there will also be opportunities to engage in in-depth discussions about emerging trends and strategies to foster forward-thinking dialogues within our school community. We are calling upon parents, teachers, students, and leaders who are interested in actively participating in these discussions and influencing the future of education. If this sounds like you, please don't hesitate to reach out to us by emailing otooher@aislusaka.org. Upcoming Whole School Events/ Themes Next Thursday, the world celebrates International Day of Peace alongside World Gratitude Day. We will be focusing on both peace and gratitude during the course of the week. Consider sharing with your children what you are grateful for. Wishing you all a lovely weekend with family and friends. With kind regards,
