What I am excited about this week…
Personal Project Expo! Congratulations to the Grade 10 students for their excellent work on this year’s personal projects. The Personal Project is a year-long, self-directed project that serves as the culmination of the IB Middle Years Programme. These projects were on display at Wednesday’s Personal Project Expo. See the article later in this newsletter to learn more about the impressive learning that was presented. PTA Officers! AISL is very lucky to have such a dynamic PTA. Many thanks to everyone who contributes. At its last meeting, the PTA elected a new slate of officers. Congratulations to these new and continuing PTA Officers:
Also, many thanks to these outgoing officers who dedicated so much of their time and energy!
Adaptive Schools workshop! Last Wednesday through Saturday, almost twenty AISL staff members participated in a four-day Adaptive Schools workshop. This workshop was focused on building effective teams to support our upcoming CIS/MSA Accreditation Self-Study. We were also joined by three teachers from other regional schools and the head of one ISAZ school. Many thanks to Christine Kelly for coordinating this superb professional development opportunity.
