It's that time of year again: Movember!

27/10/2020

Movember is the only global charity focused solely on men’s health. The Foundation raises funds to deliver innovative, breakthrough research and support programs that enable men to live happier, healthier, and longer lives. Awareness and fundraising activities are run year-round by the Foundation, with the annual Movember campaign being globally recognized for its fun, disruptive approach to fundraising and getting men to take action for their health. During Movember, men are challenged to grow a moustache, and men and women ("Mo Sistas") can be physically active and move or host a fundraising event. Not only do these commitments raise vital funds, they also generate powerful and often life-changing conversations.

What can you do for men's health?
  • Join the movement. Sign up at Movember.com.
  • Grow and champion the moustache for 30 days.
  • Challenge yourself to get physically active and move.
  • Get together for a Movember event and have a good time.
  • Get friends and family to support your efforts.

Last year, the Lusaka League of Extraordinary Moustaches, a group of teachers and parents, raised over $1300 USD. This year we are looking to add more members to our team, especially from the parent community. Consider joining our team. Click HERE to find our team page. Rob Martin, EAL Specialist and G8 I & S teacher, is the team captain. He is happy to assist you if you want to join. His email address is: rmartin@aislusaka.org
