On Tuesday, the seniors, and soon to be graduates, had a question and answer session with four AISL alumni and one visiting student as one of their 'Washing Machine Week' activities. Washing Machine Week is a week of challenges and activities geared towards helping students make a smooth transition to university, the workplace, national service, or towards a gap year.

The visiting alumni and guest answered questions about transition including; how to make friends, how to balance studies and social life, living independently, leaving siblings, internships, and what support is offered to new students in their first weeks at college.

The panel consisted of: Zara (Class of 2011) who studied in the UK is now a general practitioner at Fairview Hospital; Claudio (Class of 2017) who is in his final year at a hotel management school in Switzerland and currently undertaking an internship in Zambia after completing one at the Four Seasons Hotel in London; Marco (Class of 2018), a first year student in Sports Coaching and Management in the UK and also undertaking an internship in Lusaka; Trinity, a scholar-athlete at Johns Hopkins University and sister of a senior; and Alan (Class of 2015), a graduate from a UK university in Marine Biology who is moving to the Netherlands to pursue his Masters degree.

Many thanks go to our panelists who gave up their time to provide valuable information to our senior class!
