As shared in the Parent’s Guide to MAP Growth, “Children learn better—and faster—when teachers have a clear picture of what each student knows and is ready to learn next. That’s why a group of educators and researchers founded NWEA®, a not-for-profit organization that has created some of the most trusted and reliable assessment solutions available. More than 9 million students in the US and in 140 countries worldwide use MAP® Growth. With the recent reopening of campus, we have decided to move forward with our MAP Growth assessments for the NWEA Fall 2020 session. These assessments will be for G3-G10 this round, with the option of adding Grade 2 in April. Each student will complete an assessment in the areas of math, language usage, and reading. Our school’s testing window will run from Monday, 26 October to Friday, 13 November, with each class being scheduled for assessments across three different days within that window. Primary students will be taking their MAP Assessments the week of 9-13 November. There is no additional preparation that your child or family need to do other than aim for a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and pack a nutritious snack. All of the assessments for Primary will take place before lunchtime. For any students who are absent, we will do our best to arrange a makeup session. Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact Darlene Huson, the Primary Principal, at [email protected]. Comments are closed.
