MAP Growth assessmentsBeginning Monday, 2 September and lasting for a three-week period, our G2-10 students will complete the fall session of the MAP Growth assessments in Reading, Mathematics and Language Usage. These assessments are adaptive, meaning that the questions adapt to match the learning level of each child. The data provided from these assessments support teachers in being able to differentiate the learning for each student so that he/she is working to his/her maximum potential. In preparation for the MAP Growth assessments, we ask that each child gets a full night's sleep and eats a healthy breakfast in the morning. It is also important to arrive on time as some assessments begin at 7:30. Attached is the Parent's Guide to MAP Growth, a brief overview of what MAP Growth assessments are as well as answers to some frequently asked questions. There will also be a Parent Information Session on Tuesday, 1 October from 7:30-8:30 on Understanding your Child's MAP Results for families needing support in understanding their child's progress data.
