​An introduction for Grade 9 Parents

​These lovely students helped parents understand the MYP personal project process during the parent session held on Tuesday this week. They displayed confidence and initiative and made us so proud as they spoke about their experiences and answered questions from the parents.

The aims of the MYP personal project are to encourage and enable students to:

• participate in a sustained, self-directed inquiry within a global context
• generate creative new insights and develop deeper understandings through in-depth investigation
• demonstrate the skills, attitudes and knowledge required to complete a project over an extended period of time
• communicate effectively in a variety of situations
• demonstrate responsible action through, or as a result of, learning
• appreciate the process of learning and take pride in their accomplishments

Thank you to all parents who supported this session. If you were unable to make this session, don't worry, there is a 'hands on' session early next school year for Grade 10 parents.
