Safe Learning at AISL: Following the IB Learner Profile Attributes of being Principled and Caring1/9/2020
"The learner profile is the IB’s mission in action. It requires IB learners to strive to become inquirers,
knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective. These attributes of internationally minded people represent a broad range of human capacities and responsibilities that go beyond a concern for intellectual development and academic content. They imply a commitment to implement standards and practices that help all members of the school community learn to respect themselves, others and the world around them." Now, more than ever, students are using the IB Learner Profile attributes of being "principled" and "caring". Students are physical distancing during lessons, and as they move around the campus. They are obeying rules that are set up to keep them safe. They are being principled because they care about each other. They understand that COVID-19 may be asymptomatic. They understand that it's the right thing to keep each other safe by wearing masks and by physical distancing. We are so proud of them all for displaying these attributes! Comments are closed.
