Dear parents,
The weeks are flying by! Another seven days in the books, and we are getting closer and closer to the end of Semester 1. Things feel increasingly normal, and while that can be a little scary in light of the continued epidemic, and the COVID news out of Europe, there is a bright side as well. One of the nicest aspects of the increased normalization that we are currently experiencing, is that the students have taken it upon themselves to really lean into doing charity work. Not a day goes by where I am not asked by a student to approve some project or another all aimed towards improving the world in one way or another. This is not something that I have experienced too often in other schools, and it makes me proud of this school and these students. This week’s Leopard’s Tale has a few of these projects peppered throughout. So, take a moment to read about what the Secondary students are up to; and, while it is pretty tempting to only focus on academics, and academic success, we have to remember that it is as important to do good, as it is to do well. Also, if you want to see more of our Duke of Edinburgh outing (which also happened, see below), you can view our Secondary assembly from this past Monday morning at THIS LINK. Thanks to you all. Have a great weekend! Dr. Rick Odum Comments are closed.
