Dear parents,
One more week of learning in the books! I will keep it short and sweet for this week’s message. This week saw successes in the classroom, on the stage and showing their school spirit. Learning continues as we head towards the last week of the semester. With all the distractions of COVID anxieties, travel cancellations and everything else going on, I want to affirm our faculty and students for their hard work this past week. It is truly inspiring to see how engaged our students are in their studies. I’ll have finished writing this for publication prior to the choir concert this Thursday evening, but if it is anything like the band concert from last week, I am sure we are in for a treat. A big shout out to Ms. Katie van Zant and Ms. Joanna Gutierrez for their work getting the kids prepared to perform. Kudos also go out to the kids. I recall being in performing arts in High School and there are few things more terrifying than putting yourself out there in front of all your friends and family, so I salute their courage. Lastly, I want to thank Edwin, Sonia and everyone who helped make both performances a massive success these past two weeks. If you were unable to attend last week’s band concert you can check it out HERE. This week’s Choir concert can be found HERE. I also want to applaud our students, faculty and staff for their participation in this semester’s Spirit Week. It was amazing to see all the twins, characters and fancy outfits. Special thanks to everyone who went all out considering this heat! That is true dedication. Thanks to you all. Have a great weekend! Dr. Rick Odum Comments are closed.
