Dear parents,
We are back! You are back! The kids are back! Everyone is back! In case you can’t tell, I am very excited about this coming year. I truly believe that this year will be amazing, and I can’t wait to get started on campus next week. Here in the Secondary school, we are building on some major successes from School Year 2020-2021. In June, we had an amazing group of students graduate, in person and on campus. Also, AISL achieved its best ever Diploma Programme results with 100% of our DP students receiving their IB Diploma. All of this, while staying open, and having almost a full year of on-campus learning. All of these achievements are due to the tireless efforts of the best faculty I have had the pleasure of working with, as well as to the hard work and dedication of our amazing students. We are all looking forward to another year filled with learning and fun. It may be hard to top a year like that, but it will be pretty fun to try. A few logistical items: Please take some time to review our Health and Safety requirements ahead of the campus reopening next week. You can find that information at our Secondary Reopening Procedures presentation, found HERE. Also, in preparation for the return to on-campus school, please take a look at the School Supplies list HERE. It is also very important that we know who is joining us on campus next week, so, if you could, please fill out THIS FORM, if you have not done so already which will allow us to better plan for how many students we expect on campus on Monday. For those of you who have already completed the form, a million thanks! Again, thanks to everyone for all the hard work that you do for the benefit of our kids. Thank you teachers for labouring diligently over the past few weeks preparing your classrooms and finalizing your lesson plans. Thank you to the students whose bright, joyous smiles won’t be contained by their masks as they arrive to school next week. And thank you to the parents, whose dedication to the education of their children makes all the difference. Thanks to you all. AISL wouldn’t be the same without you. Have a great weekend!
