On Friday, 19 April, AISL will be celebrating its annual WorldFest. We are looking forward to this special annual event. The schedule for the day will begin with a Parade of Nations and we welcome our families to take part in this. Please dress up in your traditional national dress and/or colors. After the parade, we will have a whole school assembly in the Tiyende Pamodzi Theater. Parents are welcome though we ask that you join us at the back as the seats will be filled with our students from ELC to Grade 12. Following the assembly, our students will engage in a couple of cultural activities throughout the day before heading to the Food Festival mid-morning. The PTA Liaisons have been busy preparing for this. We ask that, if you drop off a dish for the event, to please make sure it is clearly marked with your name on the bottom of the dish so that it can be returned to you. We are still looking for a food coordinator for the USA, so if you would like to help out with this, please contact our PTA President, Fungai Sandamu-Güldemann (fungi.sandamu@gmail.com) for more information. Our WorldFest will conclude at 12:45 dismissal on this day for KG-G12. ELC will dismiss at the usual time of 12:00 (for those in the regular program) and 12:45 (for those in the Extended Day program). The buses and CCAs will proceed as usual on Friday afternoon. Dismissal for Primary students will take place at the Covered Court so please collect your child there at that time, even if you are attending the food festival. This helps us make sure we have an adult handover for every child. Thank you. Comments are closed.
