Visiting Lusaka
Lusaka is the capital city of Zambia and is a relaxed and generally safe city. It is spread out over a large area, the school being in the South East of the city. The climate in November is generally good, with temperatures ranging between 17 and 30˚C. Rain showers are possible. November is a great time of year to visit Victoria Falls or go on safari. Walking safaris are a highlight in Zambia.

Traveling to LusakaThere are regular flights to Lusaka from several international hubs including: Johannesburg, Nairobi, Windhoek and Dubai. Visitors to Lusaka should check well in advance whether they need a visa to enter Zambia; however, in most cases, visas can be purchased at the airport.

Information
Workshop fees includes tuition, workshop materials, IB participant fee, lunch and refreshments for the workshop days, along with bus service between the school and the recommended hotel. The fee does not include accommodation, travel to Lusaka or evening meals.
Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations received up to 2 weeks before the beginning of the event will be reimbursed at 80% of registration fee. Cancellations received after this deadline and “no-shows” will be charged the full registration fee. This policy applies also in cases where visas are not granted. Safety Policy: Neither the American International School of Lusaka nor its directors, officers or agents are responsible or liable for the safety and property of participants or their companions nor for any financial losses incurred if workshops are cancelled due to reasons beyond the IB’s control either during the workshops or any excursions related thereto. |
Participants are advised to seek information on potential health and security risks incurred by themselves or their companions and to secure adequate insurance coverage that includes reimbursement of any costs incurred should the event be cancelled.
Zambian Law shall govern any legal issues relating to the enrollment and participation in the workshops. Any disputes arising with respect to or in connection with the enrollment and participation in the workshops in Lusaka shall be finally settled by one arbitrator in accordance with the Lusaka High Court.

Hanlo EstateHanlo Estate is situated 15 minutes drive from AISL on the outskirts of Lusaka nestled in bushland. The guest house comprises three separate rooms with a verandah that overlooks the gardens and private swimming pool.
