How to Apply?

A complete application will consist of all of the following: 
  • Completed Application Form (signed by applicant and parent/guardian);
  • Copy of the child’s birth certificate or passport;
  • Gr. 9 Junior Secondary School Leaving Examinations (JSSLE) results or equivalent (if taken); 
  • Most recent school report;
  • Four completed Recommendation Forms,
    • English Teacher
    • Mathematics Teacher
    • Head Teacher
    • Community Member
  • Completed Writing Assignment;
  • Completed Mathematics Assignment.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?

To qualify for the scholarship, a child must be:
✓  a Zambian citizen;
✓  an outstanding student who is expecting to achieve excellent results on the Gr. 9 Junior Secondary School Leaving Examinations (JSSLE) or equivalent;
✓  able to show evidence of leadership and a commitment to the arts, sports, and/or community service;
✓  a resident of Lusaka or have a home in which to reside in Lusaka;

✓  ​born between 1 August 2006 and 31 July 2007.

Applicants will be expected to complete and submit the AISL Scholarship Application forms, assignments, and requested documentation. They can be hand delivered to the Secondary gate at the American International School of Lusaka, or emailed to scholarship@aislusaka.org by Friday, 26 February 2021.
Completed applications can be hand delivered to the Secondary gate at the American International School of Lusaka, or emailed to scholarship@aislusaka.org.
