On Friday 28 September, students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 celebrated the International Baccalaureate organisation turning 50 years. The Middle School choir began the celebration by singing 'Kuna Karamu' (celebrate in Swahili) followed by a speech by Dr. Ty Smeins. Kindergarten students endeared themselves to the audience by sharing their understanding of the learner profile attributes, particularly about how to be caring, and this was followed by a video montage of students and teachers discussing being IB learners. The event was closed by the 'That Sing Thing' After School Activity group, singing 'Celebrate' by Kool and the Gang, and a 400 piece cupcake 'cake'. Please see below a few images and videos of the event.
