Have you been meaning to learn Nyanja for a long time? Or have you recently arrived in Lusaka and would like to learn a bit of conversational Nyanja? If so, consider signing up for a 5-part Beginner Nyanja class taught by Uncle Jebby and hosted by the AISL Library & Discovery Center.

In the 5-part class, you will learn basic greetings and practical vocabulary. The emphasis is on spoken communication rather than on written Nyanja. You will also learn about Zambian culture. Uncle Jebby will provide all the materials you need.

The cost for the 5-part beginner series is 400 kwacha paid in full to Uncle Jebby during the first class. A small extra fee to cover Uncle Jebby's transport is shared among participants.

Classes will be held in the library conference room on Wednesday mornings at 8 am beginning September 6.
The dates are:
Weds September 6 (8 am)
Weds September 13 (8 am)
Weds September 20 (8 am)
Weds September 27 (8 am)
Weds October 4 (8 am)

Please sign up here if you are planning to attend.

Feel welcome to see or email Terry Maguire (AISL Library) if you have any questions.
