Inspired by Greta Thunberg and the Fridays For Future movement, the AISL Secondary students and faculty have organized activities in support of the Global Climate Strike from 20-27 September. On the 20th, Secondary teachers ran climate education activities in their classrooms and students were participating in art projects while 4 million people took to the streets worldwide. We also had a “little-pick” to prepare for our activity this week. The energy on campus was inspiring and we’d like to keep our momentum going!
Tomorrow (the 27th), we will have a coordinated litter clean-up from 1:15-3:00pm. The clean-up will involve a group of students leaving school premises to pick up litter on some of the back roads. Please speak to your family about this and join us if you would like. Permission slips will be given to students interested in participating. For more information, please contact Katie at [email protected] Comments are closed.
