The College of Wooster, OH
Moody has accepted an offer of admission from his first choice school: The College of Wooster in Ohio. Moody plans to major in Business Economics at the college. The Business Economics major is designed to provide a broad, yet technically competent, basis for understanding the business world. It is intended for the student who plans to enter the business world directly after graduation, but is sufficiently flexible to accommodate those who may choose graduate study as well. Students are also encouraged to take computer science, and ample opportunity is provided to use Wooster’s sophisticated computer facilities to analyze business problems.

Wooster offers an excellent, comprehensive liberal arts education, culminating in a rigorous senior project, in which each student works one-on-one with a faculty mentor to conceive, organize, and complete a significant research project on a topic of the student's own choosing. Through this distinctive program, every Wooster student develops abilities valued by employers and graduate schools alike: independent judgment, analytical ability, creativity, project-management and time-management skills, and strong written and oral communication skills.

Every year since 2002 U.S. News & World Report has asked college presidents and deans to name schools with outstanding undergraduate research opportunities and senior capstone programs, only two schools have made both lists every year: Wooster and Princeton.

The aim of a liberal arts education is to enable students to be independent, responsible, and creative. This the guiding principle behind Wooster’s academic program. Undergraduate’s journey begin with First-Year Seminar, a writing-intensive course that exercises students’ intellect and sharpens their critical faculties. In a class of no more than 15 students, with a professor who is also the academic adviser, students approach a wide range of texts, questioning, and analysis to tease out meaning, and then formulate arguments through extensive writing and discussion. A student’s skills in writing will be enhanced by further Writing Intensive courses and the Writing Center. To ensure an understanding of forms of inquiry and discourse in a range of disciplines, students select courses in three areas: arts and humanities, history and social sciences, and mathematical and natural sciences. They also gain insight into other cultures through courses in global and cultural perspectives, religious perspectives, and foreign language.

Founded in 1866, the college currently enrolls approximately 2,000 students from approximately 42 states and 55 countries, and from all manner of backgrounds and life experiences.  www.wooster.edu

The College of Wooster International Merit Scholarship
Moody has been awarded The College of Wooster International Merit Scholarship. This is worth close to 75% of the tuition fees for Wooster, and this scholarship is also based upon Moody’s selection for Division III Men’s Soccer. Well done Moody!
