![]() Dear AISL Community, Our school community was able to open its doors this week to grades 5, 8,10,11 and 12. We look forward to welcoming the whole school on Monday, 23 August. There is indeed great excitement and optimism in the air. I have been talking with colleagues around the globe and some are entering their second year on a virtual platform. Remaining buoyant, resilient, flexible and agile continue to be the way to move forward, accepting the fluidity of the situation. As we prepare for the students' return to campus, please review the AISL Reopening Plans for Primary and Secondary students. Global COVID Update What we know 1.7% of the world population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 23.7% is fully vaccinated 4.76 billion doses have been administered globally, and 37.24 million are now being administered each day Only 1.3%of people in low-income countries have received at least one dose And from Johns Hopkins CSSE Total Infections Worldwide 208,213,7236 Total Deaths 4,370,424 Good news for AISL and Vaccinations At the time of writing, the following groups have had both vaccinations
Aside from our new faculty who have been introduced to you, we have had another recent change for you to be aware of in the Business Office. Although she is not new to the school or the position previously, Shirley Mee was appointed the new Business Manager for AISL in June this year. Wishing you all a relaxing and peaceful weekend, in hopefully glorious sunshine, in this beautiful country. Comments are closed.
