5/3/2018

During the week of March 13-16, Grade 10 students will be off timetable for an introduction to the Diploma Programme which will also highlight the continuum between Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. Students will also have time to prepare for the MYP Personal project expo, which will be held on Friday 16 March in the Library 1300 - 1500.

Julie Baldry, the College and Career Counselor, and Francesca Mulazzi, the Diploma Programme Coordinator, will facilitate a number of presentations, activities, and class visits for the grade 10 students. The purpose of the time off timetable week is to provide students with an opportunity to:
  1. learn about the Diploma Programme and the three AISL graduation options
  2. visit grade 11 and classrooms to observe firsthand what the courses look and sound like
  3. learn about the details of course options and differences, and have opportunities to ask questions about specific courses to DP students and teachers
  4. understand the Core components: CAS, TOK, and EE
  5. explore post-secondary school and career options
A Parent Information morning in the Protea Room on Tuesday, March 20th at 07:30 will present similar information about the Diploma Programme to parents.
