Please join us in congratulating the Class of 2021 for completing their Extended Essays!  Thursday 22 October is the due date for the final submission, which represents about 40 hours of intensive research, writing, and revising.  The process for this year's Seniors began back in November of Grade 11, and they have much to be proud of.
Students have developed valuable ATL skills along the way, including research skills, self-management skills, communication skills, and critical thinking skills.

Some titles from this year's class include: "How Eminem's portrayal of women changed from his early to late album"; "Strategies for retaining school attendance for Zambian girls"; "How warming up and stretching affects the angle between the tibia and metatarsals in a goal keeper's dive"; and "How a helicopter's ability to generate lift is affected by airfoils' rotational frequency and surface area".

There are still some elements of the process remaining, including the Viva Voce (a culminating discussion with the student's supervisor), writing a final reflection, and the final sharing out of student work, which will help our juniors begin this process. Most of the work, though, is now complete.

We will share information about the format for the final sharing out of research findings at a future date as we are working on logistics of this in light of COVID. We will keep you posted!

Congratulations to our seniors - well done!
