Board of Directors Annual General Meeting and Elections! We will be holding elections for the Board of Directors during their Annual General Meeting on 16 April at 18:00 in the Protea Room. All AISL parents are eligible to vote but you must be present to do so. You can learn more about the candidates below. The meeting will also include a review of our audited financials from the 2016-17 school year and a review of this school year during the Director’s Report.
ISSEA! Our scholars are participating in four different ISSEA events this week! Our girls and boys football teams are going for the gold in Uganda, our tennis players are in Johannesburg, and our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) team is in Addis Ababa. Meanwhile, we are proud to be hosting this year’s ISSEA Golf tournament. We are hosting four other ISSEA schools and a total of 26 golfers who will spend the next few days competing at the Bonanza Golf Club. Go Leopards!
WorldFest! - Please Help. WorldFest! is a celebration of our school’s cultural diversity that will be happening on 20 April. The day will feature a flag parade, a musical celebration, student activities, and one of our great AISL traditions: The International Food Fair. This fair is designed to allow our students to sample food from around the world. Please help make the food fair a great success by signing up to bring a platter of food that will expose our students to a taste of your home country. We still need a lot of help, so please sign up at https://goo.gl/FLpNJQ. See the poster later in this newsletter for more details.
