What I’m excited about…

  1. Zambia Day! On Friday, 13 October, students and staff will participate in our annual Zambia Day events to celebrate our beloved host country. Please encourage your child(ren) to wear Zambia’s national colors.
  2. ISAZ U19 Volleyball and Basketball National Championships! Congratulations to our boys and girls U19 Basketball AND Volleyball teams. All four teams have qualified to play in the ISAZ National Championships on 13-14 October at ISL. Go Leopards!
  3. School Holiday! We will close for our October break on Friday, 13 October. Classes will resume on Wednesday, 25 October.
  4. ISSEA Volleyball 2017! Please come cheer on our ISSEA volleyball teams while they compete in the annual International Schools of Southern and Eastern Africa (ISSEA) Volleyball tournament from 26-28 October here at AISL. We are honored to be hosting one of the oldest and largest ISSEA tournaments. We will be hosting 140 scholar-athletes and thirty coaches from seven other international schools in the region for an exciting few days of great sport and camaraderie. Parents are encouraged to attend the games and cheer on our Leopards.
  5. Campus Improvement Plan, Phase 1A! This week we will start the tendering process for the construction of Phase 1A of our Campus Improvement Plan. This plan is designed to offer modern, purpose-built facilities that support the continuous improvement of the education we offer to our students. I will host an information session on Thursday morning, 2 November at 07:30 in the Protea Tree Conference Room. Please come learn more about this exciting project and gain a better understanding of how we use our capital funds to improve our programs. There will be a brief presentation and then a walking tour so please wear comfortable shoes.
