![]() Update on the Physical Opening of School This message went out to everyone yesterday afternoon. It was wonderful news to receive. Following the announcement from the Zambian Government earlier today, we are pleased to announce that school will resume for all classes beginning Monday, 12 February. We are all very excited to be opening our doors to the entire student body at the regular time on Monday morning. Next week will be a mixture of joyful celebration along with ‘business as usual’ as we all return to our regular routines on our beautiful campus. Thank you for all of your patience, support, and understanding over these past four weeks. Further communication from the divisional principals. We truly are all very happy about this news and, hopefully, this experience has made us a stronger community. Again, a sincere thank you to everyone in this most difficult situation. As cholera is still prevalent, we will still need to adhere to our sanitation protocols that were approved as part of our school inspection with regular hand washing and sanitizing. There are stations set up all around school. ISSEA All teams arrived back on Sunday, safe and sound, from Uganda, South Africa and Tanzania. I hope many of you enjoyed the streaming - great quality and solid entertainment. And the results: Swimming - Girls came in 4th and Boys 5th and both teams received the spirit awards! Basketball - Girls 7th and Boys 8th Rugby 7's - the Boys played as the Barbarians coming in 5th Donation Drive The Grade 3 team is excited to share that we have begun to receive donations for our cholera support request. Many thanks to those who have contributed. Every item will make a positive difference! Please continue to drop your donations in the collection boxes at the Primary or Secondary gates or inside the main office. We will continue to collect water purification tablets, chlorine, warm clothes for young children, and diapers until February 16th. Well done, Grade 3, for leading this. February is Kindness Month. The theme this year is about focusing on the positivity that surrounds us, and this will be at the heart of our learning as everyone returns to school. There will be a whole-school Kindness Week starting on 19 February, where we can show our spirit by dressing up and our kindness to each other through random acts of kindness. This is a whole school initiative, bringing us all together. Here is the flow of the week: Please consider to view this 1 minute video, Optimism
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend in preparation for a full school start on Monday! With kind regards, Dr. Oli Tooher-Hancock Director Comments are closed.
