What I am excited about this week…
Zambia Day! On Friday, 12 October, students and staff will participate in our annual Zambia Day events to celebrate our beloved host country. Please encourage your child(ren) to wear Zambia’s national colors. ISAZ U19 Basketball, Volleyball, and Swimming National Championships at AISL! On 12-13 October, AISL will be hosting three ISAZ National Championship competitions. This is an important event for us since it’s the first time AISL has ever hosted a national championship. This is also the first ISAZ Swimming championship ever held. Please come out and cheer on our Leopards! Professional Development Days! The entire staff will be engaged in professional development experiences on 22 and 23 October. These days will provide a valuable opportunity for us to upskill our teachers, admin, and drivers. There will be no classes nor ASA’s on these days. School Holiday! The school will be closed for its annual mid-term break from 15-24 October. There will be no classes nor ASA’s during that time. The Primary School pool and tennis courts will be open for regular community hours, as posted. The Library and Discovery Center will hold regular Saturday hours (09:00-14:00) and will also be open on Wednesday, 17 October from 09:00-12:00. I hope you have a wonderful holiday! Director’s Coffee Morning on 31 October – I will be hosting a coffee/tea morning at 07:30 in the Palm Pavilion on 31 October. I will make a formal presentation about AISL’s approach to safety and security. There will be time left for Q&A on that topic or any other at the end of the session. I hope you can join me. Open Day on 2 November – Please Spread the Word! We will be holding an Open Day for prospective students on 2 November. Please help to spread the word to anyone you know who would be interested in learning more about our school. Interested families can RSVP with Natasha at [email protected]. Thank you for your help in making our Open Day a success!
