The Leopard's Tale is our main medium to keep our families informed on such things as the day to day happenings on campus, after school activities, summaries of any arts and sports events, helpful resources, and important dates and reminders. Click on the following icons to streamline your reading:
Personal Project Expo! On Friday, 16 March from 13:00-15:00, our Grade 10 students will be holding their Personal Project Expo in the library. The Personal Project is a year-long, self-directed project that serves as the culmination of the IB Middle Years Programme. Friday’s expo is an opportunity for the students to share their projects with the community. Please come learn about their projects and celebrate their learning.
ZAMMUN! On Saturday, 17 March, AISL’s Model United Nations Club will host the Zambian Model United Nations conference (ZAMMUN). Our students have worked for months to organize this event, which will be focused on debating solutions to several of the world’s problems. We are expecting more than 160 participants from seven schools. Bravo to the MUN students and their advisors, Ms. Turner and Mr. Potter, for this ambitious undertaking.
ISAZ Nationals! We have had a lot of recent sports successes in our ISAZ and LISL leagues. This weekend, our U19 Netball and Football teams will travel to the ISAZ National Championships at Chengelo. Go Leopards! You can learn more about the numerous upcoming sporting events in the Activities Section of this newsletter.
Board of Directors Members Needed! We will be holding elections for the Board of Directors during their meeting on 16 April. Please consider running for one of the four vacancies. To run, you need to be nominated by two members of the parent association (via a short form from Shantall) and submit a short biography that will be published in the Leopard’s Tale by 26 March. To learn more about being a board member, please read this article.
