The Leopard's Tale is our main medium to keep our families informed on such things as the day to day happenings on campus, after school activities, summaries of any arts and sports events, helpful resources, and important dates and reminders. Click on the following icons to streamline your reading:
Last Day of School – June 15th – Noon Dismissal! This year has flown by. We will end the year with our final farewell assembly from 11:30-12:00 on June 15th. Students will be dismissed at noon to begin their well-deserved holiday. Classes will resume on August 8.
Grade 5 Fly-Up Day! Transitions are an important part of our work at AISL. One of the most dramatic transitions is the move from Grade 5 to Grade 6. To help relieve some of the anxieties of our future secondary school students, we will have a “Fly-Up Day” for our Grade 5 students on June 12. These students will spend much of the day in the secondary school getting a sense of what Grade 6 will be like. Their activities will include attending classes, meeting teachers, and panel discussions with current Grade 6 students. It should be a very fun and informative day. In our experience it does a lot to remove the students’ anxieties.
AISL Parent Survey! If you have not done so already, please complete our annual parent survey. Your feedback helps us to continuously improve what we do. The survey will close on June 9th. The survey should take less than ten minutes to complete. I know you are busy but, if at all possible, I would appreciate if you could complete one survey per child based on that child's experience at AISL. Your responses to this survey are anonymous.
