What I’m excited about this week…

WorldFest! The theme for this year’s WorldFest! is The Stories that Shape Us. For those who are new to the school, WorldFest! is our annual celebration of the diversity of our school. It features a flag parade, an assembly, cultural activities, and an international food fair. This year it will take place on Thursday, 18 April. A large planning committee has been working hard to ensure that this is a great day. There are at least two important ways that you can help. First, we need a lot of parents to donate a plate of food from their home countries to support the international food fair. We also need parents to help out at the various regional food tables on the day from around noon to 14:30. Please contact the PTA at pta@aislusaka.org if you are able to help.  Many thanks to the parents who have already volunteered to help with the food fair and to run activities for our students. This is going to be a GREAT day!

ISSEA!  We are now in our last ISSEA session for the year. Our scholars are currently representing our school at four different ISSEA events! Our girls and boys football teams are going for the gold in Kenya, our tennis players are in Uganda, our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) team is in Tanzania, and our golf team is in South Africa. You can follow these events at www.isseafrica.com.  Go Leopards!

Easter Holiday! Please remember that school will be closed on Friday, 19 April and Monday, 22 April in observance of Easter.
