What I’m excited about this week…

LISL U19 Netball Champions! Congratulations to our U19 Netball team. They kicked off the netball season by winning last Saturday’s LISL Netball Tournament. This is particularly impressive given that this is only our second year of netball competition. LISL is a league made up of Lusaka’s international schools: LICS, ISL, Baobab, and AISL. See later in this newsletter for more great sporting results, updates, and news about upcoming games.

Book Fair on Friday! Many thanks to our library team for planning a book fair with Penguin Random House Publishers of Zambia on Friday, 22 February from 12:30-14:30. They will be selling a wide range of books for readers of all ages. Please note that this is a CASH ONLY event.

PTA Elections on Tuesday! The PTA will be electing a new slate of officers at their meeting on Tuesday, 26 February at 07:30 in the Protea Room. Even if you do not wish to hold an office, please come to the PTA meetings and get involved. Whether you wish to make a small contribution of your time or a large one, we need volunteers to maintain this dynamic organization that brings so much benefit to the community.

ASA Recital on 2 March! Please join us in the Tiyende Pamodzi Theater on 2 March from 16:00 for our annual ASA Music Recital. This is an important celebration and performance opportunity for the more than 50 AISL students who take private music lessons. Many thanks to Susanna Georgiou for planning this fun afternoon of music.
