What I am excited about this week…

  1. WorldFest! This year’s WorldFest! was a great success. We had a fun flag parade, many student activities, and a delicious International Food Fair. Many thanks to the planning committee, all the staff who coordinated activities, our setup crew, and the PTA and all the parents who coordinated and cooked food from around the world.
  2. High School Coffee House! We will be hosting our third and final High School Coffee House on Friday at 19:00 in the Library and Discovery Center. These events provide great opportunities for students to share poetry, drama, music, or other talents in a relaxed and supportive environment. Many thanks to Terry Maguire and Chel Illingworth for coordinating these events. Parents and high school students are welcome.
  3. IB Diploma Exams! Please join me in wishing the Grade 12 students good luck on their IB exams, which start tomorrow. These exams are an opportunity for the students to demonstrate their learning across the two-year program. Many thanks to all our talented teachers who helped the students get to this point. Good luck seniors!
  4. AMIS International Middle School Choir Festival! Next week, we are honored to host 55 middle school singers from AISL and international schools in Doha, Cairo, Brussels, and Addis Ababa. They will be on campus for three days working with a Guest Conductor, Mr. Jeffrey Quinto. You won’t want to miss their final Gala Concert on Saturday, 5 May at 18:30 in the Tiyende Pamodzi Theater.
