WorldFest There was a wonderful atmosphere at WorldFest last Friday. Thank you to all the parents who were able to take time out of their day to participate either in the parade, the assembly and /or the food festival. It was simply magical. Our annual circle of unity was captured beautifully by a drone. Board Elections
A further notice went out on Tuesday about next year’s Board nominations. Here it is again if you are interested in being on the AISL Board. There will be no Leopard’s Tale (LT) next Thursday owing to the break next week. The next LT will be Thursday, 9 May. Secondary Developmental Work Updates (Looking Back - Looking Forward) Thursday, May 9th 7:45-8:45 in the PAC As we look to live our strategic mission to become a compassionate community of innovative and courageous learners preparing for challenges of the future we would like to update our parent community on our development. Thus Grade 5 & Secondary parents are warmly welcome to join our team as we look back on our Secondary journey over the past 2 years and look forward to upcoming initiatives. The Last Quarter of the School Year is Upon Us After the upcoming break next week, we will only have six weeks of the school year left, which tends to be hectic as we finish off everything we set out to do last August and reflect on our accomplishments. It can often be a very emotional time as people are leaving and, although it tends to be very exciting, there is also a sense of loss, leaving a place and especially this wonderful community and country. We are here to support anyone who may need help with their transition as this is a process and not an event. I also ask that we all be kind in our communication with each other, especially on Whatsapp. Words can cause a lot of angst and unnecessary stress. Please remember that everyone is doing their very best each day. Friday Market Tomorrow is Friday Market and the following vendors will be here: Please remember to bring your own containers. Fizu - Henna tattoos & Potato twirls Lin - Chinese food Adam Banda - Wood carvings Rin - Thai food Hilda - Bagels Mary/Joyce - Burritos and tacos Krupa - Baked goods Leo’s - Indian food Mrs Tarney - Fresh juices TG - Ethiopian food Brownielicious - Baked goods Kathy - Apters Primary Student Council - Baked goods and juices JAWS - Treats/Carnival games Genius Hour Project - Baked goods Prom Committee And for you to Consider: Life is Good Wishing everyone a joyous five-day break. For those who can, the weather is great this time of the year for enjoying a safari! With kind regards, Dr. Oli Tooher-Hancock Director Comments are closed.
