Rugby News- Over the weekend AISL played host to the ISSEA Rugby Tournament on Thursday and Friday, as well as an Inter schools tournament on Saturday. The PTA was happy to join forces with the Rugby parents to provide drinks, fruit, snacks and treats for all the visiting coaches and officials in the Coaches Room during the three day event. We were even able to send each of the visiting Zambian teams home with a travel box of treats.
Special thanks to the head of the PTA's ISSEA Committee, Cherice Seibert, and her small committee for coordinating the joint effort between Rugby parents and the PTA to make the Coaches room a pleasant place for visitors to our school
100th Day of Academic year- On February 7th the school celebrated its 100th day of the academic year. The PTA helped to support this event by organizing more than enough cupcakes for all the primary students. We then set up two tables, one for ELC children and one for the rest of the primary school. The cupcakes were displayed as the number 100. The children were thrilled with what they were presented with and very grateful. Thank you to everyone who contributed by making cupcakes and to all of those who helped with the special set up. Once again we would like to thank Bridget Rathbone and her team for bringing the PTA to where it is today. We would also like to appeal to parents to come to the meetings as we are always looking for new people with new ideas.
