Help Your Secondary Child End the School Year Smoothly

24/5/2018

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching.  As the school draws to a close, it is time to begin collecting all educational materials that have been loaned to our students.  To help end the year smoothly for your children and enable them to collect their final reports on time, please pay close attention to these important notices:
  • All library books are due back on May 28.  That's next Monday!  If your child has a library book at home, this needs to be returned ASAP.  If your child has checked out a book and can't find it, please make arrangements to pay for this as soon as possible.  Not sure if your child has a book out or not?  Simply email Ms. Maguire (tmaguire@aislusaka.org), and she can let you know.  Better yet.  Stop by and say hi.  She is brilliant at brightening anyone's day, even when handing out fines.  How ever does she do it?
  • iPads will be returned to the IT department for maintenance and updating over the break.  Grade 6 & 7 students will be required to return their iPads (with covers) only on June 6.  Grade 8 & 9 students will do the same on June 8.  All grade 9 students will be required to also return their brick chargers and cables as they will receive laptops in grade 10.  Any non-returning students will also have to return all of these items as well.  We recommend that all parents give their child's iPad a once over looking for damage.  If you notice any, have your child go to the IT guys to learn more about repair costs.  If you think Ms. Maguire is nice, the IT guys take happy to a whole new level.  So don't be afraid of them.  Stop by.
  • Lastly, if your child has borrowed a textbook, calculator, or any other educational resource from a classroom teacher, these will need to be returned as soon as possible.

The early bird gets the worm.  Don't let a fine, repair bill, or missing book prevent your child from receiving the final report!
