Learning Journey

​At AISL, we focus on inquiry as the key element to engage learners, promote agency and develop meaningful, life-long learning. The PYP transdisciplinary framework focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both at school and beyond. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) nurtures independent learning skills, encouraging every student to take responsibility for their learning. Reflection, questioning and connection-making underpin the AISL Learning Journey.

AISL Teachers created the Learning Journey to demonstrate what inquiry looks like in our teaching and learning environment. Teachers ensure regular times for student reflections, question generation and intentional connection making between knowledge, understanding and real world experiences. Over the coming months, you may notice the Learning Journey model on newsletters, in unit learning engagements and on summative assessments.
