Enjoy the pleasure of reading this winter break!!! All students, parents and staff in good standing can check out up to 10 books over the winter break. You can even get fresh reading material during the break by emailing this secondary book request form between 3 Jan and 6 Jan and our library staff will pull the books and have them available for pickup on 7 Jan at the secondary gate guardhouse. Whether you travel or not over the break, you can escape somewhere different in a book so leave your worries behind and immerse yourself in the pleasure of reading. Networking at the 2021 Book ExpoZarrso (Zambia Reprographic Rights Society) held the 2021 Book Expo in early December with the theme of "Redefining Zambia's Reading Culture." Several publishers, writers, illustrators, librarians, and other literacy enthusiasts gathered to look at how to preserve/publish Zambian language stories as well as further a love of reading in Zambians of all ages. The AISL library hopes to collaborate with the Lubuto Library Partners on future literacy endeavours so the expo was a great chance to learn more about what they are doing. Spirit Week: |
