Over the past two weeks, the Secondary teachers have been spending their time after school to pore over data about student performance from the NWEA MAP test taken by students in grades 6-10. Grade level teams used a data analysis protocol to mine the data for information that was pertinent to students' future learning. We looked at trends in the numbers, areas to celebrate, and areas for future focus. The purpose of the activity was to allow teachers to access information from an externally moderated assessment source and use this data to inform upcoming instruction and assessment done in the classroom. These meetings proved to be enlightening and very valuable to gaining a greater understanding of our students' abilities.
The Leopard's Tale is our main medium to keep our families informed on such things as the day to day happenings on campus, after school activities, summaries of any arts and sports events, helpful resources, and important dates and reminders.
