Over the past two weeks, Grades 9 and 10 have been involved in meaningful conversations about oversharing online. Ms. Terry Maguire, Secondary Librarian, and Mr. Tony Potts, K-12 Tech Integration and Primary Assistant Principal, facilitated discussions centered around the topic of oversharing, including a case study about sexting, building on student knowledge and understanding from last years' advisory sessions. As always, AISL students impressed with their maturity and their increasing awareness of the potential consequences of choices and decisions they make about comments, posts, and images they share. This lesson is part of the Secondary scope and sequence of Digital Citizenship classes developed and led by Ms. Maguire and Mr. Potts as part of the Advisory program. The aim of the Digital Citizenship program is to raise awareness and provide strategies about how to stay safe online. If you're curious to learn more about the topics discussed throughout these sessions, please visit the AISL Middle School Advisory Libguide or the AISL High School Advisory Libguide (the password is the same as for parent portal - see a member of our library staff for a reminder).
