PA Showcase: Grade 3

The G3 showcase is connected to the Where we are in Space and Time unit of inquiry and the central idea is "Space exploration leads to a better understanding of the universe".

In PA we have been inquiring into constellation myths and stories that are related to the performing arts.

We found a story about a harp that is represented by the constellation Lyra,  It’s easy to find Lyra, the harp, by first finding Vega -- one of the brightest stars in Earth's night sky. 

Vega is inside the ring nebula or ring of fire and has inspired us to sing a well know Johnny cash song you may know! 

We have taken the creative liberty and have replaced the harp with the ukulele in our story as we have been learning about the ukulele and how to play it in PA !

In order to create the showcase we have embarked on a whole grade devising process, students have contributed ideas and have chosen their characters within the story. Theatre creation has a unique journey each and every time depending on the content and the creators. We hope you enjoy our interpretation of the constellation myth.
